The Industrial Packaging Alliance of North America represents the leading manufacturers of new industrial steel drums, plastic drums, fiber drums, and rigid intermediate bulk containers in North America. Membership also includes premier suppliers of industrial packaging components, accessories, raw materials, and equipment. IPANA was formed in 2003 as the result of a partnership between the following trade associations:

• Industrial Steel Drum Institute;
• International Fiber Drum Institute;
• Plastic Drum Institute; and,
• Rigid Intermediate Bulk Container Association.

IPANA constantly promotes the industrial packaging industry’s critical role in the safe and reliable transportation of essential goods around the world. It also represents the industry before U.S. and international regulatory and standards-setting bodies and promotes technological developments that improve product safety, reliability, and sustainability. The Alliance also serves as a clearinghouse of information.
